Fabiana Zingone
Fabiana Zingone is an Associate Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Padova and Azienda Ospedale–Università Padova, Italy, where she leads clinical and research activity on coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and small intestinal pathologies. She trained at the "Federico II" University of Naples, completed a Master of Science in Applied Epidemiology at the University of Nottingham, and finished her PhD in 2015.
Prof. Zingone serves as Treasurer of the International Society for the Study of Coeliac Disease (ISSCD) and chairs the ISSCD-DIRECTIONS Committee, coordinating international consensus work on non-responsive coeliac disease and ongoing symptoms. She is co-author of the 2023 Italian national coeliac disease guidelines and the 2025 ESsCD European guidelines. She has published extensively on coeliac disease, with research interests spanning diagnostics, follow-up, refractory coeliac disease, and emerging pharmacological therapies.
