Diksha Dr. Jha
As a scientist, my research exposure ranges from nanotechnology to medical sciences. During my PhD D at CSIR-IGIB, I focused on designing smart, green, and chemical nanoscale materials to tackle major global health challenges like antibiotic resistance and cancer. While continuing at CSIR-IGIB as postdoctoral researcher, I designed and developed a novel Antibody-drug conjugate against breast cancer. Later, after joining Department of Gastroenterology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi with Dr. Govind Makharia, I added patient recruitment and clinical trials in my job skills. Here, my focus is to develop diagnostics for detecting enteropathy, adherence to gluten-free diet in patients with celiac disease through various omics and biophysical approaches. My research journey, which includes a mix of advanced proteomics, microbiome metagenomics, in vivo disease models, and real-life patients, has been incredibly rewarding, earning me multiple international accolades including the Young Scientist Award at NTU, Singapore. I am deeply passionate about translating complex laboratory discoveries into real-world biomedical solutions, while balancing my time in the lab with my love for teaching and academic mentorship.
