Henry D. Oyoyo
I am a final-year medical student at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, with a strong interest in clinical research, evidence-based medicine, and improving health outcomes in resource-limited settings. My research spans nutrition, genetics, epidemiology, precision medicine, and non-communicable diseases, with a focus on translating scientific evidence into better patient care and public health interventions.
I have contributed to multidisciplinary research projects and have presented my works at several international scientific conferences. I am actively involved in research capacity building, scientific collaboration, and student leadership, mentoring young researchers and promoting high-quality clinical research across Africa.
My interest in celiac disease stems from its under-recognition in many low- and middle-income countries and the need to improve awareness, diagnosis, and management through research, education, and international collaboration. Through participation in ICDS 2026, I hopes to broaden my understanding of celiac disease and contribute to advancing digestive health research and equitable care globally.
