Utkarshini Kirtikar
My name is Utkarshini Kirtikar, and I am a Research Nutritionist. I completed my undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in India, followed by a master's degree from the University of Leeds, UK.
I am currently pursuing my PhD under the supervision of Dr. Elena Verdu in the Department of Medicine at McMaster University. My research focuses on understanding the interactions between diet, the gut microbiota, and the host, with a particular emphasis on tryptophan and its role in alleviating symptoms in celiac disease.
