Monique Germone
Monique Germone, PhD, BCBA, is a Pediatric Psychologist and Associate Professor at Children’s Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Her clinical and research work focuses on improving the lives of children and families affected by celiac disease. Dr. Germone’s research examines the psychosocial impact of celiac disease on children and their families, including quality of life, adjustment to the gluten-free diet, and barriers to effective disease management. She also leads research exploring caregiver experiences following a positive celiac disease screening result, with a particular focus on identifying barriers and facilitators to completing diagnostic evaluation and connecting families to care. Through her work, she aims to improve the celiac disease screening and diagnostic process while ensuring that the needs and perspectives of children and families remain central to research and clinical care.
